“The purpose of psychotherapy is to set people free”
Deciding to start psychotherapy can be a life changing decision. The process of therapy starts even before you have made a phone call, as the expectations, fears, dreams and hopes came alive within your internal world. Finding the right fit with the therapist is essential, as the therapy can be a very vulnerable and difficult process, thus the trust and a therapeutic relationship are the key ingredients. I view each therapeutic relationship as unique, tailored to your needs and our relationship dynamic. We will explore your early experiences and your primary relationships and try to understand how they play an important role in the “here and now.” Together, we will work to understand your inner dynamics, as well as your emotions as the important signs that will ultimately lead you to your most authentic self. Experiencing a wide range of emotions, as well as possible resistance, are expected part of the journey of psychotherapy.
The therapeutic frame consists of once (or more times) per week 50- minutes- long sessions that are usually on the same day and same time each week.
